The invisible beauty of hidden hardware

The first collaborative event of the company Intesa and Kronospan Design Center-Sofia took place in May 2022 with the theme "The hidden beauty of hidden hardware".

With it, we introduced the attendees to the latest trends for minimalism and technological progress in wallpaper door-building mechanisms. Doors are one of the few tactile elements in the interior that separate rooms and provide access to different areas. The first impression of a design depends on them, so they need to be given special attention.

The development of minimalism in modern interior design in recent years has forced the need for ever more minor, hidden, and even invisible details related to the functionality of the premises. Hardware is one of these details, and Intesa has inspiring solutions for door opening mechanisms - smooth and quiet sliding, opening with a twist, and hidden hinges. Hardware is remote, and wallpaper doors are increasingly preferred.

Part of the presentation at the event included the presentation of B-MAG interior door magnets, Koblenz hidden hinges, and B-No-Ha invisible handle, with which the wallpaper door can blend in thoroughly with the wall decor or match the furniture as there is no visible hardware on it.

Despite everything, the handles remain an invariable part of any door design. DND series was specially developed by designers for designers and impressed with its solutions. The Italian company works with world-famous names, such as Andrea Morgante, Mauro Ronchi, Karim Rashid, and Alfonso Femia. The modern look and colors, the special PVD coating that protects the handle from scratches and discoloration, and the antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties - are all characteristics that the DND product range provides. For all visitors, a unique selection of handles will be permanently displayed in Kronoshpan Design Center – Sofia.

Special attention was paid to HPL Invisible Touch – a special material with anti-fingerprint property that prevents unsightly fingerprints on the surfaces and reduces the amount of cleaning required. It is ideal for producing interior doors with first-class technical and functional qualities.
