Presentation of Kronospan Bulgaria to Advantage Austria - Bulgaria

The team of Kronospan Design Center – Sofia had the honor and pleasure to host an event organized together with the Commercial Counselor at the Austrian Embassy and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Bulgaria – the Austrian Trade Commission in Bulgaria.

The guests were representatives of the Austrian business in Bulgaria, interior designers and architects. One of the main reasons for the event was strengthening and establishing new contacts between the participants, as well as exchanging ideas related to the development of Austrian companies in the country.

In addition to the presentation of the chamber and its initiatives, we had the opportunity to introduce the concept of our showroom, as well as the most recent projects of Kronospan as а part of the Austrian business in Bulgaria. The largest one is the investment in our factory in Veliko Tarnovo, which amount so far exceeds € 250 million. The company is proud of the high-tech and automated production lines for chipboard, MDF and laminating prosses, as well as for providing over 250 new job positions for the local community.

The project is impressive not only because of its scale, but also due to the new production approach, aimed at reducing the impact on the environment, the efficient use of natural resources and the principles of the circular economy. Kronospan invests not only in advanced recycling facilities, but also in the building of its own wood waste landfills and in the overall process of their collection, transportation and processing. Therefore the company actively attracts business partners, municipal enterprises and organizations prepared to contribute to environmental protection. 

In March 2021, Kronospan opened a new Design Center in Bulgaria as a part of its development. The multifunctional showroom in Sofia is designed for specialists in the field of interior design, architecture, construction and their clients. Besides the detailed product information, visitors always can rely on our team advice in finding the right materials and project solutions. Various events, trainings and workshops are organized each month in the multi-functional presentation room of the design center.
